It’s been a great year. On March 30, 2005, Fates Requiem was formed. Originally, Fates Requiem was formed because the members of Union of the Lords wanted to start anew, with a GM that actually played the game and wasn’t a jerk when he did sign on.
We chose Magus Lekarr as our new GM, and kept most of the same officers, myself included.
Before too long, we merged with our friends in the Demon Knights, and Brutal from DK became co-GM with Mags. We started making eyes at Molten Core, and took our first forays in.
Shortly thereafter, Mags and his fiance Mellinnia joined Evil Empire, and I ended up in Mags’ old job.
We’ve had people come and go, here and there, but we’ve kept alot of the core people from the original two guilds, as well. And it’s been a hell of a year. From our first furtive attempts at UBRS… to our first try on Chromaggus, we’ve been together, working (and dying repeatedly) to build a better guild, to accomplish difficult encounters while maintaining a friendly and fun environment. I’d like to think we’ve accomplished that.
So, as we mark our first year, I’d like to thank everyone in Fates; and all of the people across Eonar who have supported us now and in the past. Much love to you all.
And no, we still don’t know what the name means. Mel was drunk when she came up with it.
