Forgive me, Friend. Your death only adds to our kill list — VAEL DOWN!

Filed under: News — Lauran @ 11:51 pm

Hell yeah! We first seriously attempted Vaelstraz last week, and our best attempt was 14% (he starts at 30 — Chuck Norris got there first). Yesterday, we had him down to 1%. Today, we decided to give it a few spell-buff only tries (no potions) to get some positioning and the pace of the fight figured out… and to our tremendous surprise we downed him on what was going to be our last try before “doing it for real” … I guess Vael got tired of breathing in the charcoal dust of our remains, so he gave off one last “forgive me friend” and dropped dead with about 30 people still up. Grats to Pilar and Smauls on the Bloodfang Belts, and to Mahdi on his shiny new, uh, mediocre druid trinket that we’ll probably shard next time it drops. :-)

Fates Requiem is currently full. Interested parties may still apply and may be considered if outstanding or if a space opens, but at this time we are not actively seeking additional members.

Blackwing Lair – We kicked the door in early!

Hot damn! I didn’t expect to be posting about this for 2-3 weeks… we had our first Razorgore attempt yesterday… and today, we got him!

Oh… and here’s Vael before he shredded us repeatedly:

Grand Marshall Lurkinshadow!

Filed under: News — Lauran @ 12:46 am

I’d like to take a moment to congratulate FR member Lurkinshadow. With over 35,000 Honorable Kills, and a PvP Rating passing 60,000, last week Shadow reached the highest PvP rank, Grand Marshall.

Here’s a shot of him in his new Grand Marshall PvP gear:

You kick ass, Lurk! Can’t wait to see you in action back in MC/BWL. :-)

We got dis fokker!

Filed under: News — Lauran @ 12:33 am

I am absolutely delighted to announce that finally, after months of hard work, Fates Requiem has beaten Molten Core. The hammer has fallen, and Ragnaros is no more… until next time. Congrats to Pilar on her new Bloodfang Pants, Raylow on his Nemesis Leggings, Bowinghunter for his very shiny Crown of Destruction, and Sniyper, who received the Cloak of the Shrouded Mists. And congratulations to everyone in Fates Requiem… I knew you had it in you.

Oh… and this was only our third day attempting Ragnaros, and only the second serious one… all in all, we wiped to him 3 times last week, once a few weeks before, and once today, before beating him. We’re pretty happy about that. We had him at 37% pre-sons on the last attempt. Don’t ever let anyone tell you shadow priests and balance/feral druids don’t belong in MC… :-)

By the way — we’re opening up recruitment for a small number of dedicated players — we could use 1-2 priests, and 1-2 warlocks. You can learn more about applying here.
